Junior League of Chattanooga (JLC) is excited to announce this year’s schedule for our 2015-2016 Mini-Grants program. JLC will accept applications May 15, 2015, through August 21, 2015, from any teacher in the Hamilton County Department of Education for award-winning programs. Thanks to our generous corporate partner, Hamico Foundation, we are able to fund these outstanding classroom projects at up to $750 per grant. Please do not delay in applying!

To the right, you will find a copy of our Mini-Grants flier. Please feel free to make copies if needed. You may also access the application and evaluation criteria on the Junior League of Chattanooga website at

Grant winners will be posted on the Junior League website toward the end of September 2015 and will also be contacted via email. Those awarded Mini-Grants will be presented their checks in September at the Mini-Grants reception.

Please note that a principal’s approval is required on all applications, but HCDE does not require approval at the central office level. All applications need to be filled out using our online system at Before completing the online application, you must have your principal’s approval and confirm online that there are no funds available in your school budget for the proposed grant. Applications that are handwritten or received after August 21, 2015, will not be considered.
