Operating Procedures for Exceptional Dismissal

The following procedures shall be followed in determining the closing of schools during a power outage or other utility failure.

The Superintendent and his staff shall make a determination regarding school closing.

If it is determined that the school should be closed, appropriate notification shall be given to the news media 1 hour prior to dismissal so that parents can anticipate their child's arrival.
