Chattanooga School for the Liberal Arts

Chattanooga School for the Liberal Arts (CSLA) was opened in 1991 as the city’s second Paideia magnet school. CSLA currently has an enrollment of approximately 249 students in grades K-8. The population of learners is diverse intellectually, socially, racially, economically, and geographically. The Paideia curriculum succeeds because teachers hold high expectations for all students.
Programs in place at CSLA, such as self-discipline, character education, and academic coaching, foster respect and responsibility. Student achievement is evident through consistently high test scores. CSLA has been recognized by the National PTA as a National Parent Involvement School of Excellence, and in 2005 was named a No-Child Left Behind Blue Ribbon School.
