Wolftever Creek Elementary School opened in 1988 and is home of the Wolves. We currently have an enrollment of approximately 462 students in grades PreK-5. Wolftever is a community school with an active Parent-Teacher Association (PTA) and monthly student grade level performances. The school has received straight A’s on the TCAP for several consecutive years, along with superior fifth grade writing scores.
Wolftever Creek has embraced the Literacy Plan submitted by the district and students are exposed to a 90-minute literacy block. Students are assessed on a regular basis, and extra help is provided as needed through hired interventionists. The school has adopted the “Smart Choices” character education program in order to encourage students to make good choices and be responsible for those choices. Both consequences and rewards are used within this system.
