High Schools

Hamilton County is home to 17 high schools serving students in grades 9-12. High schools are supervised by the Secondary Education Division.

The system offers a range of Career Academies at each high school through with career and technical education is delivered. The average class size in high school in 27:1. Hamilton County high schools offer a vareity of instructional courses including Advanced Placement courses and Dual Enrollment courses.

Students study a broad range of subjects including language arts, mathematics, social studies and science. The curriculum is based on the Tennessee State Standards and students must complete Hamilton County's graduation requirements to earn a regular diploma.
