Brainerd High
Brainerd High school opened in 1960 and is one of Hamilton County’s newest magnet schools. We currently have an enrollment of 745 students in grades 9-12. Our teaching staff includes a master chef, a highly-trained registered nurse, an ASCD certified automotive technician, and a computer programmer. The school has many departments and programs that are exceptionally known around the world including the school’s award winning music department which received invitations to perform in Africa, Canada, Europe and on the Oprah Winfrey Show.
At Brainerd High school, we seek to provide and sustain a safe, inviting, and positive environment that encourages self-growth, student achievement, and life-long learning. We believe that parents and community stakeholders help to provide resources to meet the needs of all students. We engage students with a variety of challenging instructional strategies that will enhance academic achievement. We receive on-going professional development and support as we utilize best practices and technology to educate all students.
