Hixson High School has a rich history dating back to its first graduating class in 1909. Its current site opened in 1966 and has an enrollment of approximately 790 in grades 9-12.At Hixson High School, we strive to provide an individualized, safe learning environment for all students to grow intellectually, emotionally, and socially in order to be productive, global citizens.
Hixson High School has been recognized for promoting excellence in education by the U.S. Department of Education, the Carnegie Foundation and was a member of Coalition of Essential Schools. Hixson High School has been accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools since 1959.
