Middle Schools
Hamilton County is home to 21 middle schools, serving students in grades 6-8. Middle schools are supervised by the Middle Schools Director in the Secondary Education Division.
The average class size in middle school is 25:1.
Middle Schools are engaged in reform efforts through the Middle Schools for a New Society initiative. The curriculum is focused on language arts and mathematics instruction with infusions of science and social studies. All middle schools offer related arts courses as well as athletics and extracurricular activities.
