STARS Partners
STARS’ Board of Directors is comprised of a team of business leaders representing different spectrums of the community. These Directors strengthen the HCDE Safe Schools/Safe and Supportive Schools learning environment by providing resources to enhance implementation of the STARS program. Working closely with the designated HCDE Safe Schools/Safe and Supportive Schools contact, this non-profit organization has a mission of encouraging students to make healthy choices and refrain from the use of alcohol, tobacco, other drugs and violence. Currently, the Board of Directors is under the leadership of former HCDE administrator, Lebron Sterchi.
Fund raising efforts include the following:
- Judy Wilson Benefit Golf Tournament organized by Tennessee Valley Federal Credit Union
- Year-end Sustaining Campaign
