Safe Schools/Safe and Supportive Schools
Safe Schools/Safe and Supportive Schools Program
The purpose of the Safe Schools/Safe and Supportive Schools program is designed to support programs that prevent violence in and around schools; provide best practices professional development; coordinate innovative violence prevention programs including conflict resolution and behavior management; and provide best practices peer mediation training.
Federal funding is channeled through the TDOE. Because the ability of students to learn and teachers' ability to teach is directly linked to school safety, this is paramount to the success of Hamilton County students.
