Holiday Update 2011

From all of us at Chattanooga Goodwill Industries, Inc., we wish you a very Happy Holiday, and Happy New Year! Thank you so much for your tremendous support of the Goodwill Assistance Dog Academy and for making service-dog-in-training Hamilton possible! We are very excited to report that Hamilton has just a few more weeks of training to complete to receive his official assistance dog certification. This means that he will be matched to a child or adult with physical disabilities on our waiting list in January 2012. Hamilton’s recipient will attend team training camp, two weeks of instruction to learn how to care for and work with his/her canine partner, and we will hold a graduation ceremony to mark the official beginning of this very special partnership in spring 2012.
