Federal programs are grants and financial aid from the US Department of Education that are designed to help the nation's schools achieve equity for all students. These programs provide additional resources to schools and districts to provide assistance to those students who are considered economically disadvantaged. This designation is based on parent income level and is typically derived by those students who qualify for free or reduced lunch.
Hamilton County offers a diverse range of federal program including Title II assistance to schools with high percentages of students qualifying for free/reduced lunch, professional development for teachers in these schools, programs for English Language Learners and Parent Engagement opportunities.
