Career Academies

Briggs Smith~Director

High School is one of the last steps for students entering society. For some students, we have developed programs that help make a smooth transition from high school to career. Career academies are flourishing in Hamilton county high schools, allowing students to become engaged in their education with relevant experiences and curriculum.

The district partners with local businesses to offer students real-life experiences through the Academy system. Academies are small learning communities within high schools that use real-world themes with core curriculum. These academies will prepare students for the transition from high school to the career field with more ease and efficiency because students will graduate employable with entry-level occupations in their choice field.
