Superintendent kicks off 2010 school year

Superintendent Dr. Jim Scales welcomed back the staff of Hamilton County Schools for the 2010-2011 school year at an Employee Convocation on Tuesday, August 3 at McKenzie Arena.
The event, designed to kick-off the school year and motivate employees for the coming year, featured a spirit roll call, employee recognition and a keynote address by Dr. Adolph Brown.
This was Dr. Brown's second trip to Hamilton County to speak to employees. He spoke about taking care of all students, seeing the future for all students and helping all students to achieve by building relationships.
More than 5,000 employees converged on the arena to hear the speech.
