“Through a Microscope: Paintings inspired by Micrographs”
Tyner Students are integrating Art and Biology by painting large colorful abstract paintings that are actually of subject matter taken from micrographs (specifically sub cellular structures and histological samples). The large scaled and colorful paintings will be displayed as an art show in the community, and eventually come back to decorate the walls of Tyner. The intent is to have students learn about the microscopic subjects as well as to educate the viewers of the paintings about science.
