AIG Life Insurance Company
Group Term Life insurance is available to full-time employees of Hamilton County
Department of Education.
$20,000 of Group Term Life and Accidental Death and Dismemberment coverage is provided
to full-time employees at no cost to the employee.
Employees may purchase Group Term Supplemental Life and Accidental Death and Dismemberment
coverage via payroll deductions.
Employees with annual incomes of $20,000 or greater may purchase (at initial enrollment)
increments of $10,000 to a maximum of $300,000 without medical underwriting and
up to $500,000 with medical underwriting.
Employees with annual income of less than $20,000 may purchase (at initial enrollment)
increments of $10,000 up to a maximum of $100,000.
Supplemental Life coverage may be purchased for a spouse in increments of $5,000
or $10,000.
Supplemental Life coverage may be purchased for a child/children in the amount of
$5,000.
During open enrollment (month of October) life elections may be increased, decreased
or revoked. Employees electing only one additional level of coverage are automatically
eligible for the additional amount. Employees electing more than one additional
level of coverage are required to complete a medical questionnaire for AIG Life
Insurance Company. AIG makes the determination regarding approval or denial of the
additional amounts requested.
The Group Term Life Insurance coverage may be continued through AIG directly when
an employee terminates employment or retires. Contact AIG directly for information
