Title I

Title 1 Home Title I is a federal program to help students in our nation’s schools. Because some students may not have all the advantages of others, additional resources are provided to help. Schools that meet certain income requirements can use Title I money for the whole school. This is called schoolwide. Most Hamilton County Title I schools are schoolwide projects. Some school focus their funds only on the students who need the most help. These schools are called targeted assistance.

Children who attend selected Title I schools may be eligible to receive tutoring at no cost to the parents. The tutoring can take place in the child’s home, after school, before school, Saturdays, through an on-line computer or during the summer.
