Senior Spotlight- Adrian MckinleyChattanooga, Tennessee- Adrian Mckinley, also known as ‘Quincy’, a recent graduate of Tyner Academy, is set to embark on a new journey at Alabama A&M University this fall. Known for his unwavering leadership and exceptional dedication, Adrian has made significant contributions to his school and community throughout his high school career.

Adrian's entrepreneurial spirit shines through his clothing brand, Mission Accomplished. He manages everything from design to sales and was recently named Young Black Entrepreneur of the Year at Chattanooga's Business Elite's Black Excellence Chattanooga Awards.

"Leadership starts with you, it starts with determination," Adrian says. "Everybody has a set goal. The mission of my company is to keep thriving until you reach that goal."

Since his freshman year, Adrian has been a standout leader at Tyner, completing all three levels of the school's Leadership program. He organized schoolwide pep rallies, recycling initiatives, homecoming events, community blood drives, food drives, Christmas fundraisers, Black History Month activities, and an Impact Project with Tyner Middle's 8th graders. Adrian's drive for collaboration and excellence, along with his solution-oriented mindset, has been evident in every project he has undertaken.

Adrian has not only taken on leadership positions but has also actively pursued various early post-secondary opportunities. Starting from his freshman year, he enrolled in early college courses, completing State Dual Credit US History and SCD World History with success. Additionally, he performed exceptionally well in Advanced Placement English Literature and Composition classes.

Adrian's commitment to education is paralleled by his involvement in the Science Troupe, a select group of students trained by the Creative Discovery Museum to write, prepare, and present museum-quality elementary science lessons. His ability to engage students and take ownership of his tasks has impressed both teachers and peers.

Not just a scholar and entrepreneur, Adrian is also an accomplished athlete. As a member of Tyner's Track Team for all four years, he earned numerous awards and was part of the State Championship Track Team. In his senior year, he joined Tyner's Football Team, where his speed and agility significantly contributed to the team's success.

Adrian Mckinley’s journey is a testament to his ability to balance academics, entrepreneurship, and extracurricular activities. His leadership qualities, dedication, and exceptional skills make him a standout student who is set to make a significant impact at Alabama A&M University and beyond.
