April 26, 2025 - Hamilton County Schools (HCS) values putting students at the center, leading to positive student learning outcomes on state assessments. The latest data release from the Tennessee Department of Education (TDOE) recognized twenty-two district schools with Level 5 designation.
Collegiate High School at Chattanooga State was presented with a banner today recognizing its Level 5 distinction.
“We are proud of the academic growth demonstrated by our students,” said HCS Superintendent Dr. Justin Robertson. “Earning Level 5 recognition is a reflection of the dedication and perseverance shown by our students and educators throughout the 2023 - 2024 school year. This achievement underscores our continued commitment to ensuring every student learns and thrives.”
Accomplishment
Collegiate High School in the North River Learning Community was presented with a new banner recognizing their accomplishment. Level 5 schools are those with significant evidence that their students exceeded the state growth standard.
Historic Achievement
TVAAS measures academic growth for districts and schools using a range from Level 1 to Level 5. There were 22 schools earning Level 5 distinction. The combination of growth and achievement data from 2023-2024 clearly illustrates Hamilton County Schools' progress toward ensuring all students thrive and experience a future without limits. As the district works to achieve the ambitious goals of Opportunity 2030, HCS remains committed to Every Student Learning.
