We are proud to introduce you to:

Pharmacy Manager, EdHealth Pharmacy – 229 Hickory ValleyJosh Sanders, Pharm. D
Pharmacy Manager, EdHealth Pharmacy – 229 Hickory Valley

If leadership and awards are any indication of success, Josh Sanders had some early signs in pharmacy school that he was going places. Recognized by both his peers and the faculty at the University of Tennessee for his leadership, as well as his academic and patient care skills, Josh Sanders has taken these talents to his profession and his patients and is excited to bring them to the members of Hamilton County Schools health plan.

Sanders grew up in the small west Tennessee town of Savannah. After graduating pharmacy school in 2015, he went back to the western part of the state to start his career with Walgreens. But after two years back in Savannah, he married his wife, Elizabeth, who is also a pharmacist, and transferred with Walgreens to Chattanooga. Sanders has enjoyed working in the Ooltewah and East Ridge communities since 2018.

When Josh isn’t working, he enjoys being out on the water fishing for crappie, cruising the local trails and is a regular (and competitive) bowler. You may also find him strumming his guitar and playing with his dog, Ranger and cat, Scout.

Josh has been working with his new colleague, Josh Pendley and the On-Site Rx management team to recruit and identify other top pharmacists and technicians in the area to join the Hamilton County Schools EdHealth Pharmacy team. Once the building work is done on the 229 Hickory Valley Road EdHealth Pharmacy site, Sanders will be helping get the pharmacy prepared to start serving patients in mid-June.

Please welcome Josh Sanders to the Hamilton County Schools family. And watch for communications in the coming weeks about contact information, copays and how to transfer your prescriptions over when the stores open up.
