Josh Pendley is an experienced and dedicated pharmacy professional with nearly two decades of expertise in the field. He currently serves as the Pharmacy Manager at HCS EdHealth Pharmacy, where he oversees daily operations and strives to deliver the highest standard of pharmaceutical care for his patients.
Josh’s pharmacy career began in 2005 when he joined Walgreens as a pharmacy technician at age 18. He then decided to pursue becoming a pharmacist and began taking pre-pharmacy classes at the University of Tennessee Chattanooga and then later at UTK. After graduating with honors in 2011 from South University in Savannah GA, he immediately stepped into a leadership role as the Pharmacy Manager at Target Pharmacy in Hixson, TN. During his 10 year career at Target, he honed his pharmacy management and patient care skills, staying dedicated to providing exceptional service and ensuring that patients’ needs were met efficiently and compassionately.
In 2019, Josh was presented with the opportunity to become the Pharmacy Manager for the soon-to-be-opened HCS EdHealth Pharmacy. In June of 2020, he and his new cast of highly skilled technicians opened the HCS EdHealth Pharmacy in Hixson. Since then, he and his amazing team have been instrumental in the success and growth of the pharmacy, where they continue to serve as trusted resources for both patients and collaborating healthcare providers.
In addition to his pharmaceutical expertise, Josh has much experience with farming and raising animals using permaculture and regenerative agriculture practices. His passion for sustainable living and ecological stewardship has helped inform his approach to problem-solving and decision-making--both in the pharmacy and in his personal life.
Outside of working at the pharmacy or at the farm, Josh is an avid outdoor enthusiast. He enjoys backpacking and mountain biking, often spending time exploring the beauty of nature. Additionally, Josh is a self-proclaimed “nerd” and has been building custom PCs since the age of eight, combining his love for technology with a creative and hands-on approach to problem-solving.
With a deep commitment to improving patient outcomes, a passion for sustainability, and an enthusiasm for technology and adventure, Josh brings a well-rounded and innovative perspective to his work at HCS EdHealth Pharmacy.
