I Am Hamilton t-shirt presented to Sherrie Ford, executive assistant to the Board of Education
Sherrie Ford, the executive assistant to the Hamilton County Board of Education, received an “I Am Hamilton” t-shirt for her work assisting the board members for Hamilton County Schools. The district presents the special shirts to individuals for efforts that positively impact Hamilton County Schools and the children we serve.
Ford goes over and beyond the call of duty in everything she does for children, staff or the board. She keeps nine School Board Members on task. She plans, schedules, coordinates meetings, answers board member questions, and reminds board members of all deadlines.
“She does this and never gets frustrated with us even though she has told us more than once an important piece of information that we need or a meeting that we need to attend,” said Kathy Lennon, Hamilton County Board of Education member representing District 2. “She is an advocate for all students and teachers, and she is the glue that keeps us all together.”
“I am Hamilton” spotlights the contributions of alumni, teachers, parents, students, support workers, and community members providing opportunities for children in the classrooms of Hamilton County Schools. Better opportunities for children today mean a brighter future filled with possibilities for our graduates, their families, and the community.
