The district presents the special shirts to individuals for efforts that positively impact Hamilton County Schools and the children we serve.

"She has been a huge part of Battle and its success for many years,” Jesse Goins, principal of Battle Academy, wrote in his nomination. “She knows the name of every student in the building, their back story, and home life. She consistently checks in at the office for ways to help and goes above and beyond her expected job duties daily. She always wears a smile, is the epitome of patience, and she has a strong dedication to the families and faculty and staff of Battle Academy. We could not function without her."

“I am Hamilton” spotlights the contributions of alumni, teachers, parents, students, support workers, and community members providing opportunities for children in the classrooms of Hamilton County Schools. Better opportunities for children today mean a brighter future filled with possibilities for our graduates, their families, and the community.
