The Tennessee Department of Health has requirements for all students attending public schools. All students entering a Tennessee school for the very first time must provide the school with an immunization certificate at the time of registration. For students who are returning, their immunization certificates should be on file at their school. If a student receives additional immunizations after they have registered, please request an updated immunization certificate before leaving the doctor’s office and bring it to school.
