     Mechatronics is a multidisciplinary branch of engineering that focuses on the engineering of both electrical and mechanical systems, and also includes a combination of robotics, electronics, computer, telecommunications, systems, control, and product engineering.


What is Mechatronics Academy at Volkswagen?



     Mechatronics Academy at Volkswagen is a multifaceted learning environment.  Located at the Volkswagen plant, it acts as a launching pad for students to be "ahead of the game" and expedite their higher educational goals while learning in an industrial setting. 

     Open to upcoming high school juniors and seniors, Mechatronics Academy offers students the opportunity to earn a high school diploma from their home school, up to 36 hours towards an associates degree in Mechatronics, and industry certifications.  Mechatronics Academy supports student achievement by providing students with the knowledge and skills necessary for post-secondary success.
