HCS Pledge - Employee

Purpose: HCS is committed to serving our students during the COVID-19 pandemic while ensuring the appropriate CDC-recommended protocols are in place to keep all HCS employees and students safe. We understand that the work we perform is essential to our educators being successful in supporting our students.

Stay at home if you are sick!

Please monitor your health daily and stay home if you are sick or experiencing any symptoms of COVID-19, including cough, shortness of breath, or a fever of 100.4 degrees or higher.  Do not return to work until you are well.

Avoid getting too close to others.

Distance IconPeople at a distance Icon

Maintain social distance from other people. Students should keep their belongings separated. Sharing books, pencils, and devices is discouraged. If sharing supplies is necessary, disinfect them between uses.

Face coverings are a must.

Mask IconOutside Icon

Face coverings can help cut down on the spread of COVID-19 by people that have no mild symptoms and that might be spreading the virus unknowingly. Continue to keep space between yourself and others.

Everyone wash your hands and sanitize surfaces.

Cleaning IconHand Washing Icon

Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds especially after blowing your nose, coughing, or sneezing. If soap and water are not available, use a hand sanitizer. Regularly disinfect frequently touched surfacing.

General Provisions: HCS employees will be expected to follow the protocols indicated below until further notice. No employees should report to work with fever or signs of illness. Failure to comply and adhere to these protocols may result in disciplinary action. All employees are required to notify their administrator and self-report by using this self-report link, if they are experiencing any of the following high-risk factors associated with COVID-19:

  • Symptoms of sore throat, diarrhea, fever, dry cough, shortness of breath and/or any combination of flu-like symptoms.

  • Known exposure to or reasonable suspicion of exposure to any confirmed case involving COVID-19.
  • A member of their household is diagnosed with COVID-19.

  • The employee was tested for COVID-19.

Employees should contact their supervisor and not report to work if the employee or a household member is sick with an undiagnosed illness with COVID-19 symptoms. A fever must be absent for 24-hours without the aid of any fever-reducing medication before returning to work.
