Chattanooga, Tenn. (August 23, 2022) – Hamilton County Schools (HCS) Future Ready Institutes signed an official partnership agreement with U.S. Xpress on August 23, 2022, to support the work of two Future Ready Institutes.
U.S. Xpress has signed on to provide an annual donation to support the Supply Chain Future Ready Institutes at Ooltewah and Central High Schools.
“As Hamilton County grows in importance as a regional and national hub of logistics and supply chain operations, it is essential that we provide pathways to this critical career field for our students,” said Dr. Justin Robertson, HCS Superintendent. “With a focus on engaging instruction, partnerships beyond school, and a postsecondary jump start, Future Ready Institutes help us connect students and their interests with learning opportunities tailored to their goals and dreams.”
With the addition of the Supply Chain program, HCS will now have 28 Future Ready Institute options for Hamilton County Students. Each program provides students small learning cohorts with career, theme-based teaching and learning beginning in 9th grade. With a focus on engaging instruction, partnerships beyond school, and a postsecondary jump start, Future Ready Institutes help us connect students and their interests with learning opportunities tailored to their goals and dreams.
“We are so grateful for the support that US Express is proving to the Future Ready Institutes students of Central High School and Ooltewah High School,” said Olivia Bagby, Future Ready Students Director. “These partnerships are investments in our students and the future of Chattanooga's workforce.”
As HCS continues the expansion of Future Ready Institutes and avenues to post-secondary opportunities, the district stays true to the just cause that all students thrive and experience a future without limits.
