CHATTANOOGA, Tennessee (Oct. 27, 2021) -- Hamilton County Schools (HCS) hosted a Partners in Education Awards Breakfast on October 26, 2022, to honor community partners who have made a significant impact in the district within the last year.
The event was sponsored by the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga’s Division of Diversity and Engagement and was held in their Tennessee Room. The event was attended by more than 240 community partners who have provided support for students, families, and teachers. More than 20 community partners were recognized as finalists for the 8 total awards presented.
“We are grateful to have this opportunity to honor our community partners,” said Dr. Justin Robertson, HCS Superintendent. “We understand that our students well-being is a shared responsibility, and in Hamilton County we are blessed to have partners that share in the work to ensure all students thrive. Without the efforts of our community partners, our students would not be as connected, confident, or whole.”
HCS focused their awards around action areas for their district and families. Awards were presented in the categories of Future Ready and Innovation, Out of School Time, Family Resource, Early Learning, Equity in Education, Teacher Champion, Faith-Based, and Partner of the Year.
