Mr. Goode was recognized recently as Special Olympics Coach of the Year at the Special Olympics Area IV Track and Field Meet. The honor comes on the heels of his Unified Special Olympics team winning the TSSAA Sectional Track Meet.

“I’m at the school on the weekend a lot, and Tim Goode is here with the Special Olympians often on the weekends,” said Stephen Garland, a history teacher at East Hamilton Middle/High. “He spends this additional time with these amazing young people out of the goodness of his heart.”

A different teacher was featured each day this week during Teacher Appreciation Week.
