Two student authors have been added to the two announced earlier this week that will hold a book signing at Barnes and Noble Thursday evening. The signings will be at Barnes and Noble at Hamilton Place on Thursday, November 29 at 6 p.m.
Kierstin Lankford, a seventh-grader at Ooltewah Middle School, will participate in the ceremony and book signing with her book titled, “Love Yourself.” The book is about a bi-racial girl who tries hard to fit-in while growing up but later learns to appreciate her uniqueness and love herself.
E. M. “Emery” Rutledge, a student at Hamilton County Collegiate High, will be on hand to autograph her book titled, “The Secrets of S. Murdoch.”
Two young novelists from Chattanooga School for the Arts and Sciences (CSAS) will participate in the book signing to autograph copies of their published books. Sarah Nicole Jackson, an eighth-grader at Chattanooga School for the Arts and Sciences, will sign her book Time to Shine. Evelyn “Evvy” Wells, a CSAS ninth-grader will sign her book Waiting to Bloom.
Barnes and Noble will present each of the young authors with copies of their work and books will be available for purchase and signing after the ceremony. The young authors participated in A Novel Idea (ANI), an online program out of Nashville that connects a community of writers. According to the ANI website, “Hundreds of writers have completed a novel with ANI. It’s a radically different way to teach writing, language, and grammar.”
ANI authors participate in a novel-writing class that culminates with the publishing of the finished work complete with ISBN and the opportunity for family and friends to order extra copies of the book.
