Virtual Recruitment Fair Seeks Talent for HCSAre you looking for a place to make a difference for children or the community? A rewarding career may be awaiting you in a Hamilton County classroom. Hamilton County Schools will host two virtual teacher recruitment events in March for positions starting in Fall 2021.

A high-quality teacher plays a critical role in a student’s success. That is why providing great teachers and leaders in our schools is a key action area in the district’s five-year action plan Future Ready 2023. At Hamilton County, we are building bright futures for all of our students and we are looking for both experienced and new teachers to join us.

Not only does Hamilton County Schools seek to attract new talent, but the district focuses on supporting talented teachers already in our classrooms. The district features the Teacher Academy to help new teachers launch their careers with great start. Hamilton County Schools developed a year-long support system for new teachers through the new Teacher Network that includes mentors to continue supporting new professionals.

Through the virtual format, principals will meet and interview candidates virtually for 2021-2022 positions as well as offering intent to hires. Candidates can participate using a mobile device or computer. In addition, they will learn more about benefits and HCS total rewards, new teacher induction, and teacher licensure in an interactive format.

“Our upcoming virtual recruitment fairs will give us an opportunity to seek the best talent for our students,” said Penny Murray, Chief Talent Officer for Hamilton County Schools. “The fairs will allow principals to safely meet with prospective candidates and discuss future opportunities. HCS provides competitive rewards and compensation, first class professional development, and opportunities for professional growth. Most of our schools will be represented at the fairs and all are excited to share why Hamilton County is a destination for teacher talent.”

Candidates are encouraged to register quickly as principals will be able to reach out to them in advance of the event. In addition, candidates are encouraged to browse open positions and apply at careers.hcde.org prior to the event.
