Group Term Life Insurance is available to full-time employees of Hamilton County Department of Education. Certificate of Coverage for those enrolled in the plans. 

$40,000 of Group Term Life and Accidental Death and Dismemberment coverage is provided to full-time employees at no cost to the employee.

Employees may purchase Group Term Supplemental Life and Accidental Death and Dismemberment coverage via payroll deductions.

Full Time Employees may elect (at initial enrollment) increments of $10,000 up to a maximum of $500,000 with guarantee issue of $300,000. 

Supplemental Life coverage may be purchased for a spouse up to $50,000 with guarantee issue of $50,000 and by electing the same amount or greater of employee supplemental life.

Supplemental Life coverage may be purchased for a child/children in the amounts of $5,000 or $10,000 by electing the same amount or greater of employee supplemental life. 


During open enrollment, life elections may be changed by the employee. Employees electing over the guarantee issue amount will complete the Evidence of Insurability.
