Returning Student PowerSchool Information Update

I am having trouble logging in to my Parent Portal on PowerSchool, who can I contact for help?

  • Please contact your student's school, they can help you reset your password or recover your username.

Am I required to update my student's PowerSchool account through the Parent Portal?

  • Yes. Updating your student's PowerSchool account is vital in helping the school keep you informed as well as protect your student. Many of our tools, such as Raptor and School Messenger pull current information from PowerSchool to communicate with guardians and transfer dismissal contacts for students. If you do not update this information, the school may not have correct information necessary for communication or dismissal contacts for your student.
       
  • Please note that schools will be requiring 2 proofs of residence for zoning in August upon return to school.
    • Mortgage, Deed or Lease
    • Electric, water, gas, or cable dated within the last 30 days
    • Agency or Court Documentation with address dated within the last 30 days (IRS, SS Disability)
    • Insurance (medical, life, auto, home) statement dated within the last 30 days
    • Current Bank Statement or Employment Check Stub with address dated within the last 30 days

My student is moving from one HCS to another HCS this school year. My PowerSchool Parent Portal account doesn't show enrollment at the school in which my student will be attending. What do I need to do?

  • Update your PowerSchool Parent Account to show the correct information, it will notify the school of the change of address.
  • Provide 2 proofs of residence within zone to new HCS.
  • Complete a Request for Records at the new HCS.

How do I find information regarding transportation for my student?

  • Visit www.hcde.org, go to Parents & Students tab, then Bus Transportation. From this page you can view bus information and find contacts for the Transportation Department. Please keep in mind that transportation is NOT provided to students going to an Open Enrollment, Future Ready School or students on current hardship. Transportation is only available to students going to their zoned school.
