Summer Reach

Summer Reach helps students stay on track and build the confidence they need  to succeed.

Families can begin registering their rising 1st–9th grade students for Reach 2026, a four-week program designed to offer fun and meaningful learning experiences. The program operates Monday through Friday, with hours from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. for elementary students and 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. for middle school students. Reach will run from June 1 through June 26, with Juneteenth observed as a holiday. Students will receive free transportation to their zoned Reach site and will participate each day in reading and math instruction, physical activity, and hands-on enrichment.

Reach Hours

Elementary School Sites: 8:00 am to 2:00 pm
Middle School Sites: 8:30 am to 1:30 pm (doors open at 8:00 am)

Transportation

May 2, 2026 – Transportation Deadline.
If your child needs bus transportation to or from their zoned Reach site, you must register by May 2, 2026. Registrations submitted after May 2 will not be included when bus routes are created. The transportation question must be answered in the Reach registration form for each student.
Families who register after this date or who choose a non-zoned Reach site will need to provide their own transportation.

Rising Kindergarten Students

Rising K students must be fully registered for HCS Kindergarten before they can register for Reach 2026. The student’s kindergarten registration must be approved by the enrolling school. Schools can only approve registrations that include all required documents:
• Two proofs of residence
• Tennessee immunization form
• Birth certificate
• Proof of physical within the last year
Once kindergarten enrollment is complete and approved, families may register their child for Reach.

SACC (School Aged Child Care)

SACC for Reach students will be available before and after the Reach day at participating Reach sites. An application must be submitted to the SACC program along with the $20 registration fee. School Age Child Care – HCS District Website
Students must be 5 years old to attend SACC.

Step by Step Directions for Registering:

1.  Log into Powerschool – please click hereYou will need your PARENT Login information.  If you do not have this, please contact your child’s school.
2.  Click on forms under the navigation menu.
3.  Once in forms, click on Summer Reach Registration.
4.  Fill out form accordingly (make sure you select yes to enrolling student in Reach).
5.  You will then be prompted to sign.  Be sure to selected yes to accepting electronic signature.
6.  Sign and date the form.
7.  If you have any questions about registering or which site your student will be attending, please contact your student’s school.
