What is a Virtual Learning Center?
A Virtual Learning Center is an in-person environment where students gather in small groups, under the supervision of qualified adults (volunteer or staff) to engage in remote learning.
Virtual Learning Centers can operate 2-3 days a week during hybrid learning phases, or five days a week for students enrolled in HCS at Home. This support helps to ensure that no students fall behind or are left to learn alone.
What other virtual learning supports are available?
In addition to Virtual Learning Centers, Education Well-Check services are also available to students who meet certain criteria. This service provides a Virtual Success Coach for remote learning students who are disengaged or struggling academically.
How can I enroll my student?
Parents may enroll their student in a Virtual Learning Center or apply for Education Well-Check support by following the steps below. School staff may refer students with parent permission.
