“Our students enjoy reading how Roz, the robot, finds a purpose on a remote island after being washed up to shore during a violent hurricane.”
Donna Hatmaker, DuPont Elementary Librarian
The Wild Robot is the Hamilton Book of the Week nominated by Donna Hatmaker, a Librarian at DuPont Elementary. When robot Roz opens her eyes for the first time, she discovers that she is alone on a remote, wild island. Why is she there? Where did she come from? And, most important, how will she survive in her harsh surroundings?

"Wild Robot is an excellent choice for young readers looking for engaging early middle grade novels. A discarded robot finds love and a sense of belonging on an island of animals in Peter Brown's well-crafted story. Profound moments and warm humor make this a winner." – Seira Wilson, Amazon Editor
