College and Career Readiness
The TN Promise is a scholarship for two free college years toward an Associate's Degree or Technical Certification. The TN Promise FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) deadline is extended to March 1, 2022. For families who have not submitted financial aid applications and are interested in TN Promise, there is still time.
Families of 12th-grade students must complete the FAFSA to receive state and federal financial aid for college and must apply for TN Promise. Click here to get information on how to fill out the FAFSA. Other TN Promise resources to assist parents are available here.
Additionally, in partnership with Parent University, the HCS College and Career Department has released videos to help families prepare for college. These are the first in a series with more to come. These videos help students and parents navigate through the financial aid and college application process.
