Today’s #HCSHeroes Spotlight is Jennifer Newberg, lead special education teacher at Allen Elementary. Mrs. Newberg, who has been with Hamilton County Schools for 17 years, collaborates with general education teachers to ensure exceptional education students have the accommodations they need in the classroom.
“I love watching the light bulb moment go off!” said Mrs. Newberg. “The best part of my job is watching students be successful and independent.”
“Mrs. Newberg makes sure every need is met at Allen Elementary for students served in Exceptional Education,” said Phillip Greeson, principal at Allen Elementary. “It is not an easy job to handle so many difficult tasks, but Mrs. Newberg handles the most difficult situations with an extreme calm while she is focused on student success.”
Mr. Greeson adds, “Whether it is a parent, student, or coworker Mrs. Newberg leads a group of outstanding professionals who support students who need the most help!”
The efforts of our teachers and staff are truly heroic, and we are proud to have people like Mrs. Newberg on our team to support our students!
