The partnership allows students in this career pathway to gain real-world experience with equipment that they will use in their field of study. Chattanooga Tractor and Equipment has access to agricultural, construction, and power equipment graduates would use on the job in their career field.

“The partnership between Hixson High and Chattanooga Tractor will allow Hixson’s Natural Resources and Land Management program to expand by allowing students the opportunity to learn skills outside the classroom,” said Jeremy Kaylor, instructor in the Natural Resources and Land Management program at Hixson High. “This gives students the ability to practice and learn on the actual equipment that they will use in their future careers.”

The partnership also better prepares students for post-secondary opportunities and provides them with life skills; they will use daily long after graduation. Chattanooga Tractor and Equipment is a local equipment dealer that sells and rents agricultural, construction and power equipment.
