Tyris Nelson of Chattanooga School for the Arts and Sciences is in the Senior Spotlight Video
Tyris Nelson is a 2019 graduate of Chattanooga School for the Arts and Sciences (CSAS) and today’s Hamilton County Schools Senior Spotlight. Nelson was an active student at CSAS as he led the audiovisual team in charge of the sound and lights for activities in the school auditorium. He was also instrumental in the formation of a bowling team at the school that led to a scholarship for college.
“It was a crazy adventure, but I have enjoyed my time at CSAS,” Nelson said. “The last four years have been pretty good for me.”
Tyris hopes to use his love for audiovisual to study multimedia, sound, and video in college with hopes of becoming a music producer or work with video in television or movies.
“We fell in love with Tyris because of his whole demeanor and how he carries himself,” said Jim Boles, principal of the CSAS Upper School. “We are all excited for Tyris, and we can’t wait to see what he does in the future.”
Tyris will attend Tennessee Wesleyan University in the fall on a bowling scholarship.
