I Am Hamilton t-shirt presented to Michelle Rigsby, a teacher at Allen Elementary
Michelle Rigsby, a fourth-grade teacher at Allen Elementary, received an “I Am Hamilton” t-shirt for her work with the children in her class and pitching in to take extra duty at school for co-workers. The district presents the special shirts to individuals for efforts that positively impact Hamilton County Schools and the children we serve.
In the past few months, Allen Elementary has had several teachers out sick or taking care of family members. Michelle Rigsby had stepped-up and volunteered to take extra duties at the school helping with the car rider line or anything that needs to be done at the school.
“All of our teachers have pitched in to help, but Mrs. Rigsby has really made herself available and taken on extra duty with a smile,” said Chris Tillett, principal at Allen Elementary.
Rigsby students were also eager to agree that their teacher is the best as they cheered the shirt presentation.
“I am Hamilton” spotlights the contributions of alumni, teachers, parents, students, support workers, and community members providing opportunities for children in the classrooms of Hamilton County Schools. Better opportunities for children today mean a brighter future filled with possibilities for our graduates, their families, and the community.
