Chattanooga, Tenn. (Jun. 18, 2021) – Graduates from Hamilton County Schools (HCS) class of 2021 earned more than $116 million in scholarships and plan to attend 171 colleges and universities across the country.
“In the midst of a global pandemic, the class of 2021 demonstrated resilience that deserves to be celebrated,” said Dr. Bryan Johnson, superintendent of Hamilton County Schools. “Our mission includes creating pathways to bright futures and I’m excited to see what these graduates accomplish in the days ahead.”
HCS graduates will attend a variety of two-year as well as four-year colleges and universities in over a dozen states, including two students who will attend Harvard University.
In addition, the class of 2021 earned 216 industry certifications, which reflect career competencies they acquired during their high school experience that will equip them to be more competitive in the job market and be better prepared for any postsecondary studies.

3. The University of Tennessee, Knoxville
4. Middle Tennessee State University
5. Tennessee Technological University
6. East Tennessee State University
7. Cleveland State Community College
8. Lee University
9. Tennessee State University
10. Lane College
