Registration

HCS Returning Students:  Currently enrolled Hamilton County School students are required to update information each year.  The Information Update window to register your child for the 2024-25 school year will be open in the PowerSchool parent portal from May 1 - June 1, 2024.   Contact your child's school if you have forgotten your parent portal log in username or password. To access the portal, click HERE.   If you have never set up a parent portal, you will need log in instructions with an Access ID and password from your child' school.  Instructions for the parent portal can be found HERE.

Students NEW to HCS:  Online registration for K-12 students brand new to Hamilton County Schools will be open May 20th, 2024.  For more information including a step-by-step guide on how to register, click HERE.

If your student is not currently enrolled in a Hamilton County School, you will need to complete a New Student Registration by clicking one of the links below.

  • Parents and families who have questions about the registration process are encouraged to contact our registration hotline at 423-498-KIDS (5437) or 423-498-6744 for the Spanish hotline. 
  • Hotline hours are from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on weekdays. 
  • Registration questions are also welcome at [email protected].  Be sure to include your child's name, grade, and your phone number.  A Spanish representative is available to respond to questions as well.
