The Hamilton County Schools International Welcome Center (HCS IWC) is committed to the success of all students and serves as a direct support for newly-arrived families in the United States.
The HCS IWC supports the needs of our international students and families through the following services:
- school enrollment for pre-k to high school
- transfer of international immunization records for school
- transcript evaluation for high school credit
- interpreter support
- connecting families with community resources
Our goal is to engage with families and provide them with the supports that they need so they can thrive as they transition into Hamilton County Schools and integrate into our community.
The Hamilton County Schools International Welcome Center also provides information on how to access the following resources:
- Health clinics and other medical services
- Food assistance
- Wi-fi service
- Uniforms and school supplies
- English classes for adults
- Technology classes for adults
- GED programs and adult education
- Pregnancy support and childcare
- Assistance with housing and utilities
- Library cards
- Referrals to community agencies as needed
