Spousal Carve-out
HCS’s Medical Plan includes a provision that benefit eligible employees may only cover a spouse as a dependent if the spouse does not have access to medical coverage through their employer. If your Spouse has a high deductible health plan with a deductible of $3,300 or higher through their employer, you can add them to your plan for a $100 monthly surcharge. Employees will be required to complete Spousal Coverage Affidavit questions during the enrollment process on the Benefits Enrollment Portal.
